Validating Campaigns In Campaign Designer

When you have finished setting up your campaign in Campaign Designer, it is highly recommended that you validate the campaign before you start to start to run it. In this way you can avoid unnecessary errors after starting the campaign. Validation confirms that the campaign is ready to be started and that all required parameters have been correctly entered.

The logic of the campaign is not verified, validation checks that elements and variables have been implemented and configured. For example, Email elements must have an Email Creative associated with them.

Any discrepancies are identified and displayed, for example:

  • Invalid dates in the Timer element
  • Any elements that are not connected to other elements
  • Splits in data with no output
  • There is no campaign key

Procedure

  1. In Campaign View, either open an existing campaign or click the New Campaign button.
  2. The Campaign Designer screen opens. Make your changes to the existing campaign or set up your new campaign.
  3. Click the Validate button.
